Recharge & Renew
A nourishing workshop for unpaid and professional carers in Harpenden, the people who hold everyone else together. For once, this time is entirely yours. Rest properly, refill your own cup, and learn to protect your wellbeing so you can keep caring without quietly running on empty.

You cannot pour from an empty cup
Caring for someone you love, or someone in your care, is one of the most generous things a person can do. It is also relentless, and your own needs have a way of slipping quietly to the bottom of the list.
This workshop gently turns the attention back to you. We look at carer fatigue and the guilt that so often comes with taking time for yourself, and at the slow drip of stress that builds when there is never a pause. Using hypnotherapy and simple neuroscience, you will learn how to release that tension and set kind, sustainable boundaries that protect your wellbeing. Then you will sink into a deeply restorative guided hypnosis session, a genuine rest, before finishing with practical tools to keep refilling your own cup between sessions.
This room is for you if
You care for a partner, parent, child or friend, or you care professionally as part of your working life. You give and give, and you feel the tiredness settling into your bones. You may feel guilty even reading this, because taking two hours for yourself feels like a luxury you are not allowed.
You are allowed. This room is built precisely for you, whether your caring is paid or unpaid, full-time or fitted around everything else.
- A real, restorative rest that your body has been crying out for
- Relief from the guilt that comes with looking after yourself
- Kind, practical ways to set boundaries and protect your energy
- Connection with others who truly understand the carer's load
- A guided hypnosis recording to keep and use whenever you need it
A protected space, just for carers
The group is kept small, just a handful of people, so it feels safe and personal. The workshop runs for around two hours at our calm studio at 82c High Street, Harpenden, Hertfordshire (just behind Nonna's Cafe), with selected dates offered online so you can join even when getting away is difficult. We understand that carers' time is precious and unpredictable, so the welcome is always warm and the pace is always gentle.
