Release Chronic Pain

A hopeful, practical workshop for people living with persistent pain in Harpenden and across Hertfordshire. Using the remarkable OldPain2Go® approach, we work with the way your mind and body talk to each other, helping you turn down pain that has long outstayed its welcome.

Soothing cool waves, the Release Chronic Pain workshop
Turn it down
What it covers

When pain has done its job, but will not stop

Pain is the body's alarm. It is meant to warn us, then quieten once the danger has passed. With persistent pain, that alarm sometimes keeps ringing long after the original message has been received.

This workshop introduces OldPain2Go®, a gentle, well-regarded approach that works with the mind's own pain-management system. We explain, in plain language, the difference between useful pain and pain that has simply become a habit of the nervous system. There is no pushing, no willpower battle and nothing frightening. Instead, you are guided to communicate with the part of you that holds the pain, inviting it to update its message. Many people experience a real reduction in the same session. We finish with a deeply relaxing experience and simple tools to support you afterwards.

This workshop complements, and never replaces, medical care. Always keep your GP or specialist involved and never stop prescribed treatment without their advice.

Good to know

Your questions, answered

No. OldPain2Go® sits alongside your medical care, never instead of it. Please keep your GP or specialist informed, and never change or stop prescribed treatment without their advice. We always encourage you to rule out any new or changing pain medically first.
Results vary, and we make no promises, but many people are pleasantly surprised by how much shifts in a single session. The approach is gentle and low-risk, so even a modest reduction in pain or stress can make a real difference to daily life.
Not at all. There is nothing physical and nothing to fear. You simply relax and are guided through a calm conversation with the part of you that holds the pain. You stay fully aware and in control throughout.
It is designed for persistent, long-standing pain rather than fresh injury, things like long-term back pain, old injuries and aches that have lingered well past healing. If you are not sure your pain fits, a free consultation is the best place to ask.
Yes. Melissa is a certified OldPain2Go® practitioner and offers this work privately too. Explore one-to-one hypnotherapy, or mention it during your free chat and we will guide you.
