Being a working mum means running two full-time jobs at once, and holding a third in your head: the lists, the appointments, the worries, the planning that never seems to stop.

In this workshop we look gently at the mental load and the way it keeps your nervous system on permanent alert. You will learn how stress quietly rewires your day, why you so often feel guilty and depleted at the same time, and how hypnotherapy and simple neuroscience can help you switch off the constant background hum. Then we move into a deeply calming guided hypnosis session, a rare chance to do absolutely nothing but rest, so your body remembers what calm actually feels like.

You are juggling work and motherhood and feel like the spinning plates might fall. You love your family deeply and still feel like you have lost a piece of yourself somewhere along the way. You are tired in a way that sleep does not seem to fix, and you would like a couple of hours that are genuinely, unapologetically about you.

No diagnosis needed, no experience of hypnotherapy required, and no judgement, ever. Just other women who understand exactly how heavy that invisible load can be.

How it runs

A couple of hours, entirely for you

A small, friendly group of around a handful of mums, so it always feels personal and safe. The workshop runs for about two hours and is held at our calm studio at 82c High Street, Harpenden, Hertfordshire (just behind Nonna's Cafe). Prefer to join from home once the children are settled? Selected dates run online too. You will never be put on the spot, and there is always a warm welcome and a cup of tea.

That feeling is exactly why this workshop exists. Most mums leave saying the couple of hours they nearly cancelled were the most restful and useful of their month. You will go home with tools that actually give you time back, by quietening the worry that eats it.
Not at all. Everything is explained gently as we go. You stay fully aware and in control throughout, it simply feels like a deeply pleasant, guided relaxation.
Only if you want to. Sharing is always welcome but never expected. Many mums prefer to sit quietly and simply soak up the calm, and that is perfectly fine.
Of course. We welcome mums from across Hertfordshire and beyond, and the online dates mean distance is never a barrier. Wherever you are, there is a seat for you.
The workshop is a lovely starting point. If you would like deeper, personal work, you can move on to one-to-one hypnotherapy whenever you feel ready. There is never any pressure.
